Call it outlaw country, call it honky-tonk, call it Americana… Seattle-based artist Evan Wallace just wants to get people two-stepping. Born in Nacogdoches, the oldest town in Texas, it was inevitable that Evan Wallace would come back to his honky-tonk roots. With influences ranging from George Jones and Patsy Cline to Waylon Jennings and Willie Nelson, Evan Wallace and his band get crowds on the dance floor with his songs that capture the spirit of traditional country dance hall.
In the summer of 2025, Evan travelled back to Texas to record his debut album of original songs with producer Scott Davis (Hayes Carll) and mixing engineer Steve Christensen (Khrungbin, Steve Earle). Tracked live with a murderer’s row of Austin’s honky tonk musicians, the record is slated for release in early 2026.
